Raw Therapee application for RAW files
Published under Photography. No Comments.
Raw Therapee is a RAW converter and digital photo processing software that looks like a mix between Adobe’s Lightroom and Photoshop. I happened to stumble on the site while reading what another photographer uses to fine tune his RAW images. In looking at it’s feature page I quickly noticed this needed to be blogged. Best of all the cost = FREE.
World’s Strongest Dad

This past year I attended the 2007 Ironman competition as part of the medical staff. While taking pictures at the event, I happened to notice a father-son team and was able to get a picture of them. Little did I know at the time that these two have a long history of competing in triathlons. My partner on the ambulance sent me this link about their story and this tribute video. Cick here for the video.

I decided to share this great resource for different video encoders. Some of these I use on a regular basis and love. Others are new and will test soon. These are great for those of you with an iPhone or iTouch. One that I have not tried but heard good results from is Handbrake. My brother just got a new iPhone and has been using it to convert movies to it.
“wellfare check” gone bad

This was an actual finding after a family member called 911 for a “wellfare check” on this person after they did not return phone messages. After a forced entry into the house, this was what was found. Picture courtesy of the modern age of the camera phone.
